Jackson Police: Woman cited for animal cruelty, arrested for warrant

The Jackson Police Department reports the following log of activities for Wednesday, Dec. 6, with officers responding to 85 calls for service, made 9 traffic stops and 8 arrests.

Officer Pardee responded to the 600 block of West Ganson Street for a report of animal cruelty; the dog was taken into protective custody, and the 36-year-old female owner was cited. She was also arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Officer Kingston responded to the parole office and took a 37-year-old male into custody on a parole detainer.

Officer Pardee responded to the parole office and took a 25-year-old male into custody on a parole detainer.

Officer Doll responded to the courthouse to arrest a 34-year-old male on an outstanding felony warrant.

Officer Galbreath took K9 Gleeson to the Kelly Fuel’s movie night at the Michigan Theatre.

Officer Elston responded to the 100 block of East Robinson Street for a domestic dispute; the 13-year-old male suspect was taken to the Youth Center.

Officers Grant and Glass arrested a 47-year-old male on three outstanding fugitive warrants.

Officer Morgan responded to Kohl’s for a shoplifting in progress; the 29-year-old male suspect was located outside in possession of the stolen merchandise and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on charges of retail fraud and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Kruso arrested a 24-year-old male for an outstanding fugitive warrant out of Calhoun County.
