Police K-9 Awareness Day, May 20

Join the Lebanon Police Department K-9 unit and other K-9 teams from throughout the Twin State Region as they do live demonstrations on Police K-9 Awareness Day on Saturday, May 20.
This event will be held at West Lebanon Feed & Supply, 12 Railroad Avenue, West Lebanon, New Hampshire, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will feature many exciting K-9 demos, and your chance to “meet and greet” with handlers and their K-9 partners.
Also, the Lebanon City Clerk’s Office will be naming the City of Lebanon’s Annual “Top Dog” from eligible doggy-contestants in their yearly contest. The Top Dog and two Runners-up will be announced at noon and will include great prizes for the winner.
Police K-9 Awareness Day is held yearly to allow our local community members to see their police dogs at work and to learn more about the important
functions they serve in our communities. This year the event will be raising funds to support the K-9 Training Facility project in Lebanon, New Hampshire, as well as the Vermont Police Canine Association, a regional nonprofit organization where many regional police K-9 teams from VT and NH train. Look for opportunities to show your support by purchasing refreshments, special Police K-9 dog biscuit packs, and more at the event.
As always, this event is free and open to the public. Join them and enjoy interaction with the K-9 Teams, plus lots of food, live radio remotes, games, prize giveaways, photos opportunities with the Police K-9s, and lots of fun for the entire family.
Don’t miss your chance to see K-9 Teams from Lebanon, New Hampshire, and other departments from around the region who are associated with the Vermont Police Canine Association as they perform and educate young and old alike. Areas of K-9 training that will be
demonstrated include obedience, handler protection, drug detection, agility, and more.
